At Vicinia Gardens, we provide our seniors with all of the comforts of home, enabling them to continue living a meaningful life. Our communities in Fenton and Otsego, MI also have caring professionals who care for our residents every day.

Resident Needs

We provide 24-hour assistance based on individual Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

We offer specialized care and programs for individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or other types of memory loss. These services are provided in a safe and secure environment.


Service Provided

We have a 24-hour staff, as well as emergency response systems. Our amenities include 3 meals a day, planned activities, and weekly maintenance and housekeeping.

We provide 3 meals every day, scheduled programs, and weekly housekeeping and maintenance. In addition, we have emergency response systems, as well as a round-the-clock team.



Our assisted living community is staffed by hospitality professionals and trained resident assistants.

Our memory care community is staffed by hospitality experts. We also have trained resident assistants specializing in cognitively impaired residents.



We have private suites with handicapped-accessible showers, equipped with grab bars and fold-down shower benches. Also, we offer medication management through Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMARS).

Care Providers

At Vicinia Gardens, we take our responsibility seriously. We care for each resident with dignity and respect, recognizing their individual needs. Through our staff, we create an environment that increases the physical, social, and emotional well-being of seniors.

Registered nurse (RM)
Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) – trains staff in properly handling situations with dementia and Alzheimer residents
Certified Dementia Care Manager (CDCM)
Helps with resident assessments
Provides periodic medication reviews and patient assessments
Provides leadership, supervision, and training to resident assistants, as well as to the life enrichment, dietary, and housekeeping staff
Supervises the care of all residents
Maintains communications with residents’ extended family as needed
Serves as a patient advocate to facilitate communication to management, medical professionals, and others as needed
Provides direct care to residents in activities of daily life, including showering, dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting
Escorts residents to and from the dining room for all meals, snacks, and activities
Encourages socialization to promote a family atmosphere
Follows Vicinia Garden's professional standards in documentation and medication administration
Plans and guides activities for residents, including daily exercises, bingo, cards, Wii games, crafts, and movie nights
Organizes special activities for holidays and birthdays, including visits from school groups, pet visits, musicals, and other entertainment performances
Produces a monthly calendar of events and announces all scheduled activities
Promotes, welcomes, and encourages participation
Provides home-cooked meals that meet the dietary needs, concerns, and requests of residents
Maintains the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness
Provides a monthly menu that describes offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Announces changes and updates menu as needed
Ensures that fresh fruits, healthy snacks, and beverages are easily accessible for residents at all times
Cleans residents’ suites, including bathrooms, every day
Washes each resident’s clothes and linens separately, at least weekly or as needed
Provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the community
Maintains professional safety standards when it comes to using cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment
Posts signs of caution to mark areas that are wet
